Why did I wait so long to watch this?! I'm an 80s kid through and through. I wasn't as much of a geek in the 80s (it was tough being one in my small town, especially when no one was able to introduce me to things), but I'm definitely one now. And between my nostalgia for the time period and my knowledge of things now, it hits my sweet spot. As a general rule, I don't care for horror. And this show definitely has it's share of horror. But for all that the psychological and visual horror was there, it didn't bother me nearly as much as it usually did. I think it's because I was able to focus on the nostalgia and the story rather than the horrific aspects. And the story was incredibly engaging.
