Welcome to my 101 in 1,001!

Hello all!  Welcome to my journey for my 101 and 1,001.  I'm going to use this space to write about the various goals and how I reached them, adding the various lists that I want to make, and the pictures I hope to take.  It will probably be a slow start, but I hope you'll stick around for the journey and help encourage me along the way!

Goal Completed: Do a Try My Best at Sunday Assembly

Sunday Assembly  had to be rescheduled from the 12th to the 19th thanks to the snow we'd gotten that weekend.  So I had to wait another week before I could put my worries of screwing up behind me.  It was a fairly big month for me.  Not only was I doing Trying My Best, but I was singing with the band.  Most of my singing was harmony for the songs others sang lead on ("Help", "Deeper Well", "Lovely Day", "Afterlife"), but I did get to sing lead on "Shake It Off".  I practiced quite a bit Sunday morning, hoping that I'd knock it out of the park.  I also made sure to practice my TMB as well. I'm an 80s kid through and through.  I wasn't as much of a geek in the 80s (it was tough being one in my small town, especially when no one was able to introduce me to things), but I'm definitely one now.  And between my nostalgia for the time period and my knowledge of things now, it hits my sweet spot.   As a general rule, I don't care for horror.  And this show definitely has it's share of horror.  But for all that the psychological and visual horror was there, it didn't bother me nearly as much as it usually did.  I think it's because I was able to focus on the nostalgia and the story rather than the horrific aspects.   And the story was incredibly engaging.  In season one, finding out what happened to Will and what we could find out about Eleven kept me continuing to go on to the next episode.  The relationship between the kids had me invested.  The familial relationships felt r...
